The Bolshoi Theater - In
the Soviet days the Bolshoi was the top theater of the
country, as the best performers would be transferred from
the Kirov Theater in St. Petesburg to the Bolshoi stage for
the entertainment of the political elite. Nowadays, the
theater has lost its preeminent position as the leading
ballet house of Russia. Note that due to ongoing renovation

Chekhov Drama Theater
(MHAT) - Founded by Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko in
1897, this theater is the top drama theater of Russia and
home to a world-renowned school of acting art. The works of

art director Mark Rozovsky at the Cultural House of medical
men in 1983. In 1987 it received the status of a

Great Moscow
State Circus - Opened in April 1971,
the Great Moscow Circus is the biggest circus in Russia.
The building of the circus is a unique architectural
construction which is unsurpassed in terms of its technical
possibilities. Its main hall is a 36 meter high
amphitheater consisting of 23 rows totaling 3400 seats. The
circus has six interchangeable rings which make for superb
circus shows

Nikulin Circus on Tsvetnoy
Bulevard - Founded in 1880, the
Circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard is one of the oldest circuses
in Russia. All Russia's famous comics and animal tamers
performed on its stage. The original building was rebuilt
