As administrative capital of Russia Moscow is best known for its Kremlin, official buildings, and medieval churches. There are a number of art galleries but the most important is still the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg. If you think of visiting both capitals we recommend scheduling less time in Moscow and more in St. Petersburg.
